Seasons Greetings

Our family always traditionally celebrated all and every occasion - probably because its a very 'international' family. Not just because a lot of us live all over the world (we do) but there has been a lot of international marriages.

So to all my family and friends celebrating, Merry (Happy for the Brits) Christmas & A Very happy and prosperous New Year!

To all my business associates and work colleagues, may the season bring you some joy and the New Year bring you success and growth.

Pass me the wine and chocolates please....

This Christmas, consider the following:

This woman is 51.
She is a TV “health guru” advocating a holistic approach to nutrition and ill health, promoting exercise and a pescetarian diet high in organic fruits and vegetables. She recommends detox diets, colonic irrigation and supplements, also making statements that yeast is harmful, that the colour of food is nutritionally significant, and about the utility of faecal examination.

This woman is 50.
She is a TV cook, who drinks her fair share of wine and eats nothing but meat, cream, butter and desserts.

Take note, then crack on with the wine and chocolates!!!! J

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! J

Paralysed

I feel completely paralysed.

My laptop is in the shop and I feel bereft. I am using a friend's MAC - figured this is the best time to give it a shot - and I HATE it. I am so used to getting stuff done on a PC (in the Windows environment). Much as I hated it - it was familiar territory and idiot friendly(ish). I know what I'm doing - the menus are familiar, the way you save files is familiar and easy.

Everything on a MAC is a steep learning curve and at a time when I have deadlines and rely so much on Outlook to manage your daily life, its like I'm floundering at the moment trying to get stuff done.

Fortunately, thanks to cloud storage - most of my work is saved using a combination of different services including Google Documents and Dropbox and Plaxo for contacts. While there is great scepticism about the security of putting information in the cloud, for a small business, it is (and can be) a life saver in more ways than one.
